Warriors striking-down COVID-19, Without Proper Ammunition in Kashmir

Date:

The Story of Kashmiri Doctors

Samaniya Bhat

Srinagar, April 10: COVID-19  a deadly virus that not only erupted the whole universe with its influence but also shook down the population mentally and physically across the world.

“Coronavirus is such an egoistic guest without invitation it’s not visiting your homes”.

As across the globe, doctors are on toes with the proper tools and proper machinery to tackle this COVID-19, but on the other hand story of these warriors is something different.

In Kashmir, the medicos are putting their lives and families at risk while dealing with COVID-19 victims.
The situation in Kashmir hospitals is quite worrisome as warriors don’t have excess to proper tools like Proper Masks, Gowns, Eyegears, Photoplethysmogran, etc and are forced to fight against COVID-19.
There is a high risk for doctors and other medical staff to get exposed to this deadly virus.

Earlier several warriors in Kashmir while fighting lost the battle in their own arena where they used to be because lack of equipments forced them to accept the loss and are bedridden since then.

The rapid growth of COVID-19 across the valley affecting medical professionals and others who are confronting a dire shortage of proper protective gear to safeguard them from the virus.

A senior lady doctor while discussing her views with Kashmir Despatch about their safety, tools, and equipments to combat COVID-19, by her expressions she was amused and said I can’t say anything about it I am performing my job only for my people, I can’t see with my bare eyes as they are battling with life against this deadly COVID-19. Almighty has given me an opportunity to contribute something for the betterment of mankind as I consider and accept it a noble cause.

When asked about the equipments and protect gears she smiled, and said whatever will come to us it won’t be without the permission of Almighty and whatever we deserve we will get it for sure and apart from that whatever Almighty has written in our fate we are gonna to receive it and no one can change it, added protective gears and equipments are somehow manageable and honestly saying these equipments and protective gears can’t protect a doctor from getting infected. ( It indicates the protective gears and equipments are of poor quality and are unhygienic for the medicos in Kashmir) Smiled and said whatever we do have as of now we can’t wait for the latest technology equipments as my dear loved ones are suffering and I can’t bear their pain now Almighty will save and protect Mankind.

In a telephonic conversation with Doctors Association Kashmir President (DAK) Dr. Suhail Naik said the deficiency of proper protective gears is across the globe, but medicos have a professional and ethical responsibility to combat pandemic in the front line and it’s a responsibility of Government to arrange protective gears for medical warriors.

As commenting over lockdown Dr. Suhail said it’s an awesome initiate taken by the government and is indeed a need of an hour, it’s decreasing the slope of virus and when the slope of this deadly virus is down it gives them ample time to Administration to arrange the PPE and other equipments even though again I will say it’s a responsibility of both administration and front line workers to battle hard in combating the COVID-19.
