COVID-19 vaccination: Around 50% people of 18-44 age group given first dose in Jammu division

Srinagar, Aug 14 : Around 50 percent people in the 18-44 age group have been given first dose of Covid-19 vaccine in Jammu division while 31 percent people have been given first dose in Kashmir division.

A top health official while talking with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that in Jammu district over 37 percent people have been given first dose while 41,884 persons have been given second dose.

Similarly in Kishtiwar, Doda, Udhampur, Kuthua, Ramban, Samba, Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi 43 percent, 42 percent, 56 percent, 42 percent, 59 percent, 55 percent, 46 percent, 45 percent and 62 percent people have been given first dose of vaccine while as 282, 430, 376 , 498, 626, 964, 2,254, 639 and 421 persons have received second dose respectively.

In Srinagar, over 34 percent people have been given the first dose of Covid vaccine while around 25,000 persons have given the second dose of vaccine.

Similarly in Kulgam, Shopian, Shopian, Bandipora, Anantnag, Baramulla, Kupwara, Pulwama, Ganderbal and Budgam 33 percent, 33 percent, 23 percent, 25, percent, 24 percent, 34 percent, 27 percent, 40 percent and 30 percent people have been given first dose of vaccine while as just 926, 1,070, 970, 1,170, 2,856, 4,635, 763, 649, 2,255 persons have received second dose of vaccination.

In aggregate, around 50 percent people have been given first dose of vaccine in Jammu division while around 31 percent have been given second dose of vaccination in Kashmir division.

In total, of 60,79,571 persons in the 18-44 age group which is around 43 percent of total population, around 25 lakh people which is around 38 percent of the total population have been given first dose while around 90,000 persons have been given second dose in the erstwhile state—(KNO)
