Uri: 28 persons who had primary contacts with two positive coronovirous patients of Uri were shifted to GMC Baramulla late Friday night.
“The samples of all the persons have been taken for the testing and will be kept in isolation wards there,” said BMO Uri Dr Mohammad Ramzan Mir.
He said that they include their family members and close contacts.
The BMO said medical teams have been deputed in areas of Amlok colony and sultandaki in Uri to carry-out door to door screenings of those who may be secondary contacts of positive patient of Uri.
Uri adminstration has also identified about 120 persons who participated in Tabligi Jamaat Ijtama at Noor Masjid Uri.They were brought to SDH Uri for the screening.
As per the official sources, all persons were shifted to quarantine centre Shahkote for 14 days.
However,Uri town is witnessing a strict curfew since last night after two patients were tested positive. The administration has also declared the Amlok colony and Sultandaki areas as red zone.
