Govt Sets Up High-Level Probe Panel

SRINAGAR, July 29: The Jammu and Kashmir government has constituted a high-level committee to investigate the appearance of cracks on the Bemina Flyover along the Srinagar-Baramulla Highway Bypass.
The committee will carry out a thorough technical inspection to determine the nature, extent, and cause of the damage. It will also examine the original design, construction practices, and possible execution lapses, while evaluating the present structural safety of the flyover.
Headed by the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, the panel includes top officials from the Public Works (R&B) Department, Srinagar Smart City Limited, Design, Inspection & Quality Control Kashmir, Traffic Police, and a technical expert from NIT Srinagar.
The committee has been directed to submit its findings within one month, along with recommendations to ensure the structural integrity and safety of the flyover.
