Legends League to Thrill Srinagar After 40 Years

SRINAGAR, Sep 12: The iconic Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar is all set to host cricket action after nearly 40 years as the Legends League Cricket makes its much-anticipated return to Kashmir. From October 9th to October 16th, fans in the Valley will witness some of the biggest names in Indian and international cricket live on the field in the final leg of the 2024 edition.
The Legends League Cricket, which kicks off on September 20th in Jodhpur at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium, promises an unforgettable experience for cricket fans in Srinagar. The excitement has already begun to build, with cricketing legends like Mohammad Kaif, Shikhar Dhawan, Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina, Chris Gayle, Ross Taylor, and Ian Bell set to grace the Kashmiri turf. These stars will be part of a seven-match showdown, culminating in the final on October 16th at Bakshi Stadium, a venue which has long awaited the return of top-level cricket.
Speaking ahead of the event, Mohammad Kaif, a key player for Gujarat Greats, shared his excitement: “All of us at Legends League Cricket are extremely excited to be coming to Kashmir this season. It will be incredibly special to play at this wonderful stadium in front of fans who have waited for so long to see live cricket.
