Handwara, Feb 25 : The Jammu and Kashmir police Tuesday registered a case against a High Court Advocate for engaging into scuffle with Session Judge at a local court in Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
According to wire service—a heated argument was witnessed between Session Judge and a High Court Advocate this afternoon at a local court in Handwara, which led to a scuffle.
Sources said that after minor scuffle, employees and other Advocates rushed to the spot and called in police for intervention. It was not immediately known as to why both entered into argument which led to scuffle, sources said.
News agency quoted a top police official as saying that they have taken cognizance of the incident, in this regard and have registered a case under FIR number 35/ 2020 under section 307 attempt to murder, 353 Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty and 506 criminal intimidation of Indian penal code against the Advocate.
The official identified the accused mentioned in the FIR as Javed Iqbal Wani a resident of Chadoora Budgam in central Kashmir reported news agency KNO.
