CRPF 53 BN Organizes Free Medical Camp in Zehanpora, Baramulla During Ramadan

Srinagar , 04 April : In a compassionate gesture during the holy month of Ramadan, the 53 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized a free medical camp on Thursday, April 4, at Zehanpora village in the bordering district of Baramulla North Kashmir.

Commanding Officer Sanjeev Kumar Sharma highlighted the aim of the camp, emphasizing reaching remote villages lacking basic healthcare facilities. The initiative, dedicated to the memory of Gulam Jeelani Khan, Assistant Commandant of 157 Bn CRPF, who martyred in 2018, served as a tribute to his sacrifice.

The event drew a large number of villagers who welcomed CRPF’s noble initiative, the first of its kind in Zehanpora in a long while. Two CRPF doctors, Dr. Ajay Meena and Dr. Ather Siddique, alongside medical staff, provided consultations and medications for various ailments, including seasonal illnesses and complex conditions.

The camp, inaugurated by Gulam Ahmed Khan, father of the martyr, witnessed the participation of approximately 150 villagers. CRPF officers engaged with locals, fostering community bonds.

Over 300 patients benefited from the free consultations and medications, eliciting gratitude from villagers and family members of the CRPF martyr.

This initiative underscores CRPF’s commitment to the welfare of local communities, particularly during the auspicious month of Ramadan, symbolizing solidarity and compassion.
