CRPF organised football tournament starts in Baramulla

Baramulla : A ‘Football Tournament’ is being organized by 53 Bn CRPF w.e.f-17/05/2022 to 25/05/2022 at Govt. Degree College Football ground, Baramulla (J&K) under Civic Action Programme -2022.

Tournament Kick started by Rayees Md. Bhat, IPS, SSP Baramulla as Chief Guest.

Total 23 teams of various Govt. Schools and Colleges from Jammu & Kashmir (UT) will participate in a week long Tournament.

Sh Megh Raj, Commandant-53 Bn CRPF welcomed and addressed to participating teams and Prof. Md Farooq Rather, Principal Degree College, Baramulla, presented bouquet to the chief guest. In his speech CO-53 Bn stated that game is one of the best way to channelize youth’s energy into positive direction and help in character building and developing youths into a better human being.

On this occasion, Sh Manish Sharma, Comdt-177 Bn CRPF, Col. Parteek Sharma, Comdt-46 RR, (Army), Col. Rishikesh, Comdt-52 RR (Army), Sh. Ichhpal Singh, Zonal Sports Officer, Bla, Prof. Md Farooq Rather, Principal Degree College, Baramulla, Prof. Abdul Dashid Malik and Officers of Army, BSF, CRPF, Police and Professors were present.

Chief Guest and Officers interacted with players of various teams. A large number of local people of Baramulla arrived at Degree College Baramulla to watch the ongoing match. Sh Saroj Kr. Jha, AC hosted the match from CRPF side.

Opening match of the Tournament was played between Govt. Degree College, Baramulla and Govt. Degree College Langate in which Govt. Degree College Baramulla won by 2-0 goal.

Sh. Prem Pratap Singh, 2-I/C, Sh. Naveen Jha, AC, Sh Parveen Kumar, AC, and Sh Manish Shukla, AC of 53 Bn CRPF were also present in the inauguration of Football Tournament.
