Srinagar, May 04 : Forces this evening launched a cordon and search operation in north Kashmir’s Handwara village after militants attacked CRPF party.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that CRPF party was attacked by militants in Wanigam area in Handwara village in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district this evening bases on which search operation has been launched which is in process. Officer said in the attack no loss of life or injury was reported.
Pertinently, In one of the deadliest encounters of 2020 sofar , five security personnel including a Colonel , Major, two Army soldiers and a police officer were killed in a gunfight in Handwara village on Sunday. In the Gunfight two militants were also killed.
