Ex Militant’s Brother held in Varmul

Srinagar, May 04 : Forces on Monday claimed to have recovered ammunition from the brother of ex Militant in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official told Kashmir Despatch on specific input a joint team of Army’s 46 RR,SOG and 53 BN CRPF laid a naka near Sheeri Baramulla. During the Naka one militant associate was apprehended along with 100 rounds of AK 47 and 1 grenade.

The arrested militant associate identified as Omar from Sopore brother of slain militant (Kaleemullah) who was killed in an encounter along with Naveed Jatt.

Meanwhile SSP Baramulla Abdul Qayoom also confirmed this development to Kashmir Despatch ans said he was active worker of militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba. He said a case has been registered and further investigation has been initiated.
