CRPF trooper shoots self in Ganderbal, hospitalised

Ganderbal, July 01 : A trooper of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was injured after he shot himself with his service rifle in Gund area of Ganderbal district on Friday morning, officials said here.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the trooper (name withheld) from Reasi, who shot himself today morning, was posted at CRPF Headquarter Gund.

He said that soon after the incident, he was rushed to SDH Kangan, where doctors referred him to SKIMS Soura for specialised treatment.

The official said that police have taken cognisance of the incident—(KNO)
