As per the order, with effect from May 22, 2026, the university will observe online teaching and WFH on Fridays and Green Saturdays for both teaching and non-teaching staff as part of the austerity initiative.
The administration has also directed that practical components and laboratory classes scheduled on Fridays, if any, be shifted to Thursday afternoons to avoid disruption in academic activities.
Further, departmental and school meetings, including PhD vivas and workshops, will be conducted online as far as possible. However, offline mode may be permitted with approval of the competent authority in unavoidable situations or where multiple activities are required to be undertaken simultaneously.
The order, issued by the Deputy Registrar (Administration), will remain in effect until further directions from the university authorities.
