Cyber Police conducts cybersecurity awareness sessions for students, seniors

SRINAGAR, Nov 12: The Cyber Police Kashmir, Srinagar team organised two key awareness sessions to promote cybersecurity and cyber hygiene in the valley.

The first session took place at Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School, Rajbagh, where students learned about safe online practices, data protection and how to avoid online threats.

 “I didn’t know how many risks we face online every day,” said Mehvish, a student.

“The session taught me the importance of keeping my personal information safe,” she added.

Another student, Sameera, said, “I feel more confident now about handling my social media and online accounts securely after today’s session.”

In a separate session, senior participants at the Centre for Sericulture Research & Training Institute in Pampore were educated on the importance of cybersecurity, focusing on safeguarding personal information and online interactions, a police spokesperson said.
