‘Damaged’ Ak-rifle, ammunition recovered in Kupwara woods

Kupwara, Oct 13 : Police, army and BSF have recovered a “damaged” Ak-47 rifle, ammunition besides three wireless sets from a forest area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said on Wednesday.

They said based on specific information, police, army’s 162 TA and BSF launched a joint operation in forest area of Reshigund Check in Kralpora. During searches, a police official told GNS that an AK-47 Rifle (Damaged)
Four Magazines, 720 rounds, three wireless set, five wireless set antennas , eight detonator besides three Chines grenades and a compass.

The official said a case has been registered and further investigations taken up. (GNS)
