DC administers Pledge as “Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K” campaign kick-starts across B’la

BARAMULLA, SEPTEMBER 04: In its endeavour to eliminate corruption and promote transparent governance, a ‘Bharshtachar Mukt J&K’ campaign was today kick-started across all the sub divisions of Baramulla district.

To discuss the action plan with regard to the campaign, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar convened a meeting of all concerned officers at Dak Bunglow here to discuss various strategies for its observance in Government offices.

During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on the subject wherein special focus was laid on the concerned departments to mark its observance. It was stressed upon various departments including PDD, PHE, Revenue, Police, and Social Welfare to adopt a coordinated approach to make the campaign a grand success in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC exhorted upon all the concerned officers to carry out special awareness programmes throughout the campaign. She directed the heads of departments to saturate all the deliverables in a seamless manner.

The DC also impressed upon the Education department to conduct special seminars, quiz contests, and debates in the schools to raise awareness about ethical and corruption-free practices. Similarly, the Youth Services and Sports department was entrusted with organizing a marathon to promote a corruption-free environment.

Moreover, Dr Sehrish instructed all departments to conduct social audits within their offices to enhance transparency in their operations. She also mandated all the departments to submit daily reports detailing the number of grievances addressed to ensure real time accountability and transparency.

Earlier, the DC kick-started the Bhrashtachar Muk J&K week from DC Office Baramulla by administering a pledge to government officers and officials emphasizing on the eradication of corruption and the promotion of transparent and accountable governance.
