Baramulla, July 23 : The Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today paid visit to Gulmarg where she took a detailed review of the developmental works associated with the renovation, beautification and upgradation of the famous tourist resort.
The DC also took a brief from the concerned with regard to the services being provided to the tourists.
During her visit the DC interacted with locals, visitors, hoteliers and others and listened their issues and grievances. The Deputy Commissioner assured them that the government will take all necessary steps to develop the infrastructure of Gulmarg so that every facility is provided in a hassale free manner.
Emphasizing the need of involving human resource and all concerned for developing Gulmarg as an ideal tourist destination, the DC directed the officials of Gulmarg Development Authority to take concerted measures to ensure green and clean Gulmarg. She said that development works should be executed strictly keeping in view natural beauty and landscape of the place.
CEO, Gulmarg Development Authority, Sub Divisional Magistrate Gulmarg, other functionaries of concerned departments including PHE and Forest were present on the occasion.
