The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Pulwama Dr Syed Abid Rashid today convened a meeting to review the functioning of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) School, Chandagam and to discuss issues faced by the school administration here at DC office Complex Pulwama.
During the meeting threadbare discussions were held on the various issues faced by the school pertaining to availability of land, drinking water facility, electricity and other essential utilities.
The DC issued directions to Revenue officials for the identification of 100 kanal land for the school at Chandagam where a huge chunk of state land is available. He asked concerned officers for the formulation of immediate DPR, so that the construction work could be started at an earliest. He directed PDD and PHE officials to provide adequate electricity and drinking water supply to the school so that students and staff do not face any inconvenience. DC also released Rs 6 lakh for the electrification of the school.
