DDC Apni Party Candidate Seeks attention towards deplorable conditions in NTPHC centers in Harwan; asks District Administration to Intervene

Date:

January 11: The Apni Party DDC Candidate, Shabir Ahmad Reshi from Syed Pora, Harwan, today expressed his fears regarding the deplorable conditions of the New Type Primary Health Centers (NTPHC) setup in various areas of Harwan.

He said, “There exists a requisite need for doctors to be made available on a daily basis at the NT Primary Health Centers of Fakir Gujri, New Theed, Syed Pora and Darbagh. The unceasing absence of doctors has added to the sufferings of 40,000 people living in the adjoining areas. It’s agonizing for them to travel to the health centers in the City”
He further demanded the upgrading of PHC Harwan to make it at par with other NTPH Centers in the district.

“The NTPHC Harwan needs immediate amelioration. I ask the District Administration Srinagar to add in specialised doctors like Gynecologists, Orthopedics & Pediatricians in the Health Care faculty. A night time facility enabling to cope with any local medical emergency  is indispensable. Besides maintaining a good medical faculty, the health care center is ought to be equipped with testing facilities like USG, ECG and Oxygen concentrators” He concluded.
