SRINAGAR, December 23:The District Development Council elections held across Jammu and Kashmir witnessed over 28 Lac votes polled in which 28 percent of votes were bagged by the independent candidates.
According to the Kashmir Despatch poll desk, the DDC elections in J&K registered a total number of 2836653 polled votes.
Out of these votes the independent candidates have bagged 804675 votes, followed by BJP which got 699141, National Conference 463302, Congress 393768, Apni Party 151105, PDP 112933, Panthers Party 91817, Peoples Conference 56659, BSP 24766, PDF 20938, Peoples Movement 10644 and CPIM 6905 votes.
According to Kashmir Despatch poll desk the independents have bagged 28 per cent of total vote share while as BJP has got 24 per cent, NC 16 per cent and Congress 13 percent of vote share. Similarly, Apni Party has got 5.33 per cent of vote share in these elections and rest was distributed among other political parties.
