Demands new transformer for Bhat Mohalla Syedpora-Harwan
SRINAGAR, January 7: Apni Party leader and District Development Council (DDC) Member from Syedpora-Harwan Shabir Ahmad Reshi on Thursday censured Power Development Department (PDD) for its failure to address the power woes in his territorial constituency.
In a statement issued here, Reshi said the inhabitants of Bhat Mohalla Syedpora-Harwan are reeling under perpetual darkness due to load shedding. “The locals in this area are suffering immensely for want of electricity. They are unable to brave this biting cold,” Reshi remarked.
He said the unscheduled power cuts and the poor voltage in this area is giving a tough time to its inhabitants especially the student community, elderly and the patients. “I appeal to the district administration particularly the PDD to install a new electricity transformer in this area for equal distribution of load,” he demanded.
