Bandipora, Dec 16: In the ongoing polling for the 7th Phase of DDC elections across J&K, the two blocks in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district have witnessed brisk polling and have recovered the poll percentage of 58.78 till 1300 hours, officials said.
While divulging details an official told Kashmir Despatch that voting is in progress in the twin blocks, Naidkhai and Hajin C of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
He said that 61.48 % votes have been polled for Naidkhai DDC seat while as 56.14 % votes have been polled for Hajin C, DDC seat till 1300 hours adding that brisk voting is still underway.
Pertinently, 21 candidates are in fray for these two DDC seats. Moreover, 47 candidates are contesting for 14 vacant Sarpanchs seats while as 275 candidates are contesting against 119 Panch seats and the total number of 119 polling stations have been set up in these two blocks of Bandipora.
