Bandipora, July 29: The district development council Bandipora vice-chairperson, Kaunsar Shafeeq on Thursday visited several villages of Aloosa panchayat block in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district to take stock of the situation.
In a statement, a spokesperson said that she along with concerned officials visited several villages including Binlipora, Aloosa, Halmatpora, Ketsen and Binlipora to take stock of the situation, following heavy rainfall and cloudburst in the upper reaches of Aloosa block on Wednesday.
She was accompanied by BDC chairperson, Panchs, Sarpanches and several others of the concerned Aloosa block.
Kaunsar appealed to the district administration to provide all possible help to those affected by the heavy rainfall over the past two days in the area and subsequent flash flooding, triggered by a cloudburst in the area.
