Pulwama, December 07: The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Pulwama, in collaboration with the 13th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), organized a Mock Drill, Exercise and Awareness Program today at Government Degree College and Sports Stadium, Rajpora. The event focused on disaster preparedness, particularly for earthquakes, landslides and fire emergencies.
Students and various stakeholders actively participated in the program, availing themselves of the opportunity to learn essential disaster response techniques and safety protocols.
Deputy Commandant of NDRF presented a comprehensive overview of the program highlighting importance of Promotion, prevention and mitigation measures aimed at Disaster risk reduction. The event saw wide participation including officers, officials, students and other stakeholders.
This initiative highlights the commitment of DDMA Pulwama to enhancing community awareness and preparedness to mitigate risks during disasters, fostering a resilient and proactive response culture in the district.
