It has been nine months now since I started to feel like I am living in ancient times. Nine months before, in August last year, the Central Government shut down my internet when I was stripped of my status which was conferred to me by the Constitution of India.
Since then how much I am suffering is only known to me and the other people of my land. For the first seven months after the abrogation of my dignity, I was bolted into my house without the Internet.
Then after seven months of the severe lockdown, the Central Government impoverished me with 2G internet service which was a mere mockery and hoax with me.
Today, unfortunately, when our whole country is closed and countrymen are working from their houses and students studying from online portals, here I am powerless to download a PDF file while the online classes stand nightmare and distant from my fantasy.
Dear Prime Minister, do you remember your commitment when you launched the Digital India programme on the 1st of July 2015. That day you assured to the whole nation that, “ Digital India holds an objective of connecting rural areas with high-speed internet networks and improving digital literacy”.( Wikipedia). So Dear Prime Minister, please explain to me why I am deprived of the favours of the Digital India programme.
Estimable Prime Minister if you confess that we are your crown then, please tell me who keeps crown in dark. The crowns are furnished, not kept in dark for rusting. Dear worthy Prime Minister we request your good self, please restore 4G Internet here so we can proceed with our learning and wisdom like the other students of county.
Respectable Home Minister sir, Do you remember the statement of 10th December 2019 when you were perched in sacred Parliament, if not, let me remind you when you confessed, “ The situation in Kashmir valley is completely normal. I can’t make congresses conditional normal, because they had predicted bloodshed after the abrogation of 370. Nothing of that sort happened, not one bullet was fired”. ( Indiatvnews)
Dear honorable Home Minister we absolutely approve and uphold your statement, this time Kashmir Valley witnessed the least figure of deaths and casualties but capable Home Minister sir, this time you have denied and restricted internet services for a very long time, compared to previous years. Following your statement, we solicit your good self, please replenish 4G Internet service here in Jammu and Kashmir.
So like the rest of the nation, students here can attend online classes also, like the employees of the rest of the country, the staffers here could similarly work from home and like the doctors of the rest of the country, specialists here can also make people aware of this deadly COVID-19 disease. This all is possible only with the service of 4G internet for which I am longing for the last nine months.
So dear Prime Minister and Home Minister, please be sympathetic to me in these crucial times and restore 4G internet services herein Jammu and Kashmir.
