Decades-long fugitives apprehended in Baramulla

Baramulla, May 07 : In a significant breakthrough, the police in Baramulla have successfully apprehended two absconders who had evaded arrest for more than three decades.

An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that police party from Police Station Kunzer arrested Showkat Ahmad Shah and Showkat Ahmad Makhdoomi, who were involved in cases dating back to 1998 and 1999. Both individuals had warrants of arrest issued against them by the Hon’ble Court of Sub Judge JMIC Tangmarg.

He said the duo were involved in case FIR No. 296/1998 u/s 224 RPC & 308/1999 u/s 420 RPC of PS Pattan. (KS)
