Rajouri, May 3 : District Election Officer (DEO) Rajouri on Friday ordered to withheld the salary of CEO and suspended an official for not submitting poll staff data from education zone Moughla with regard to their one month additional salary.
According to an order issued by DEO Rajouri said that Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Moughla has brought to the notice of undersigned that the data for one month additional salary for Election staff from Moughla Zone has not been submitted to District Election Office, Rajouri.“In his oral explanation, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Moughla has conveyed that he took over the charge as Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Moughla on 15 of March 2019. ZEO has produced an emailed script dated 03.01.2019 showing that a communication was forwarded to Chief Education Officer, Rajouri along with enclosures for onward transmission of verified poll personnel data to the office of District Election Officer, Rajouri,” reads the order.
The Chief Education Officer Rajouri did not bother to submit the same in the office of undersigned, the order reads, adding that the District Election Officer, Rajouri submitted the complete poll personnel data for one-month additional salary vide No. ENT/R/2018-19/Actts/6276 to the office of Chief Electoral officer J&K on 08.03.2019.
The office has received the sanction of one-month additional salary vide order No. CEO/Acctts/2019-2020/450 dated 25.04.2019 from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer Jammu and Kashmir, the order reads further.
“Such a blatant omission on part of Chief Education Officer, Rajouri and Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Moughla has resulted in depriving the genuinely deployed polling personnel of Zone Moughla of one-month additional salary on time alongwith rest of the staff deputed on Poll duty,” the order reads.
In view of above, the salary of Mohd Ashraf Chief Education Officer, Rajouri is withheld and Pawan Kumar, Data Entry Operator ZEO office Moughla is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect, the order reads.
Moreover, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Moughla will also explain why he has approached this office after a period one & half month of his joining regarding the non- submission of data for the additional salary of poll employees of Zone Moughla, the order added. (GNS)
