Development of border areas top priority of GoI: Union Minister Tomar

Leh, Apr 12 : Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar Wednesday visited the country’s last border village Dungti on eastern Ladakh sector under the Vibrant Village Program of the Government of India.

During the public interaction Tomar, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that the Government of India prioritized the development of border areas and equipped every village with basic facilities and modern technology.

“The border villages of the country are generally known as the last villages, but under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, these villages are the first priority of the Government of India for development,” Tomar said while interacting with the villagers.

He said that the aim of the union government is to give benefits of all the schemes of the center while providing facilities to the people of remote areas.

Union Minister Tomar also visited Indo Tibet Border Police (ITBP) post in Dungti, where he interacted with the officers and jawans and encouraged them.

MP Tsering Namgyal and DIG Ranveer Singh were also present on the occasion—(KNO)
