SRINAGAR OCTOBER 19: Recognizing the academic/competitive achievements of Police personnel wards, the Director General of Police, J&K, Shri Dilbag Singh has granted special reward of Rupees 1.70 lakh in favour of wards of serving Police personnel who have qualified different academic/Competitive examination during the year 2019. The DGP has also sanctioned scholarships of Rupees fifty six thousand in favour of wards of martyred Police personnel to provide financial assistance.
Rupees ten thousand each along with commendation certificate Class-1 has been granted vide PHQ order No. 3958 in favour of seventeen police wards for qualifying different academic/competitive examinations. The special reward has been granted out of Central Police Education Fund.
Those who have been awarded special reward for qualifying MBBS include Ms Somani Gupta, Mr Harris Hamid Ganie, Mr Shafakat Ul Nisa, Mr Hashim Farooq, Mr Abair Ul Ahad Mir, Ms Ifra Mohi-ud Din, Mr Harshpreet Singh, Ms Muskan, Ms Toiba Firdous and Ms Aaliya Mohi-ud-Din. Ms Shafaq and Mr Sumit Bhat for qualifying BAMS. Mr Idrees Kouser, Ms Irtiqa Manzoor , Mr Bashir Ahmad Malla and Ms Simran Preet were rewarded for qualifying competitive examination for BDS, MV.Sc, Lecturer and Assistant Professor respectively. Mr Rouf Ahmad Lone has been rewarded for qualifying Kashmir Administrative Services (KAS).
Meanwhile, the DGP granted scholarship of rupees fifty six thousand in favour of six wards of those Police personnel who laid down their lives in violence/militancy related incidents in the State to provide financial assistance. Vide PHQ Order No. 3957 two wards pursuing Masters Degree were granted rupees 12,000 each. Rupees 10,000 each was granted to the two wards studying B.Ed and 12th Class and two wards studying in class 10th and 8th were granted rupees 6,000 each. The scholarship has been granted out of Central Police Education Fund.
To boost the morale of aspiring wards of martyrs, serving/retired police personnel and wards of deceased Police personnel, Police Headquarters under different heads is sanctioning special rewards for police wards qualifying different examinations from time to time so as to promote competitiveness among them.
