JAMMU, Feb 27: In a bid to foster nationwide participation and shape India into a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India), the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled a series of initiatives on Tuesday aimed at soliciting suggestions from citizens across the country. Spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the BJP is determined to realize this vision of progress and development, as announced by Tarun Chugh, the BJP national General Secretary and In-charge of Jammu and Kashmir Affairs, during a press conference.

Chugh, accompanied by BJP leaders including Ashish Sood, J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina, and Chief Spokesperson Sunil Sethi, outlined the scope and ambition of the initiative. “Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP is committed to transforming India into a ‘Viksit Bharat’,” Chugh declared. “To achieve this goal, we are actively seeking input from the people of our country through various channels.”

Highlighting the extensive reach of the initiative, Chugh revealed plans to host programs at 370 locations across Jammu and Kashmir, covering 285 blocks. He emphasized the significance of the number 370, which was symbolically removed by the BJP on August 5, 2019, signaling a shift towards comprehensive development in the region.

“The BJP has set a target to gather around one crore suggestions from citizens nationwide by March 15,” Chugh stated. “This initiative underscores our commitment to inclusivity and democratic participation, as we believe that the people’s voices must shape the roadmap for progress.”

Citizens are encouraged to contribute their suggestions through various channels, including giving a missed call to 9090902024 to receive a link for submitting written or voice suggestions. Additionally, the NaMo app serves as another platform for sharing ideas and feedback.

Chugh also highlighted the launch of a fortnight-long drive to gather suggestions for the BJP’s Lok Sabha election manifesto. Party Chief JP Nadda inaugurated video raths that will traverse over 4,000 Assembly constituencies, engaging with citizens and soliciting their input. The campaign encompasses diverse approaches such as placing suggestion boxes at 10,000 locations, conducting meetings with opinion leaders, and undertaking door-to-door outreach efforts.

Notably, Nadda initiated the ‘Sankalp Patra Suggestion Campaign’ for the Lok Sabha polls, underscoring the alignment of aspirations with the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’, ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-reliant India), and ‘Vishwamitra Bharat’ (Global India) under PM Modi’s leadership.

Furthermore, Ashish Sood announced the formation of a manifesto committee for Jammu and Kashmir, chaired by Sunil Sethi and comprising various prominent members. This committee will play a crucial role in shaping the BJP’s vision for the region’s development.

The BJP’s ambitious initiatives reflect a commitment to inclusive governance and the active involvement of citizens in shaping India’s future. As the nation marches towards progress and development, these efforts aim to ensure that the voices and aspirations of every Indian are heard and integrated into the collective vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
