September 18: With the objective to discuss and review the current security scenario, identify threats and vulnerabilities and formulate strategies for enhancing peaceful atmosphere; DIG SKR Anantnag, Shri Javed Iqbal Mattoo-IPS chaired a meeting with the officers of Police and CRPF at RPHQ Anantnag.
Various aspects of present security scenario and coordination between security agencies and contingency plans were discussed. Officers present gave a detailed presentation regarding the security arrangements put in place for public safety, Law and order, readiness for anti-terrorist operations and other important issues.
DIG SKR also stressed the need to enhance the security of vulnerable targets and to ensure foolproof security arrangements and directed the officers to closely monitor vulnerable areas to prevent any attempt of miscreants.
