SRINAGAR, July 22: As part of the Independence Day 2025 celebrations, the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Jammu and Kashmir, has unveiled a series of online competitions aimed at fostering patriotic fervour and showcasing the creative spirit of the people, especially students and youth across the Union Territory.
The department has introduced three key online competitions—singing, essay writing, and painting—with themes designed to invoke national pride, creative expression, and forward-thinking ideas for India’s future. The initiative is part of the broader Independence Day festivities and aims to provide a digital platform where people from diverse backgrounds can participate and express their love for the country.
The National Anthem Singing Competition invites participants to submit their soulful renditions of the National Anthem. The entries will be judged based on voice quality, clarity, and expression of patriotism, and winners will be rewarded with cash prizes and certificates of appreciation.
The Online Essay Writing Competition revolves around the theme “Viksit Bharat @2047”, encouraging participants to envision India’s growth over the next two decades as the nation approaches the centenary of independence. This is an opportunity for young minds and thinkers to articulate their dreams and ideas for a self-reliant, inclusive, and progressive India.
Adding a visual dimension to the celebrations, the Online Painting Competition calls on artists, especially schoolchildren and budding painters, to “Draw Your Favourite Freedom Fighter.” Through art, participants can pay homage to the heroes of India’s freedom movement and reflect on the values and sacrifices that defined the nation’s journey to independence.
All competitions are now open for submissions and will continue till the announced deadlines. Participants can register and upload their entries through the official Google Form links shared by the department.
DIPR has encouraged wide participation from all districts, highlighting that such initiatives are not only about competition but also about deepening the collective sense of identity, history, and vision. The winners in each category will receive attractive prizes and official recognition, turning their creative contributions into a proud part of the Independence Day 2025 celebrations.
The department’s digital approach ensures inclusivity and ease of participation, reflecting the government’s commitment to engaging citizens through innovative, accessible platforms.
