Srinagar, July 19 : Director General, Horticulture Kashmir Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (KAS)on Monday conducted an extensive tour of District Budgam.
As per a statement, issued to Kashmir Despatch, he was accompanied by Chief Horticulture Officer Budgam and other officers of the Department.
“During the tour, Director General Horticulture visited Departmental Farms and Nurseries and took stock of various developmental activities. He stressed upon the timely completion of budding and emphasized on judicious use of inputs, so as to propagate quality fruit plants.”
He also met some progressive orchardists of the District and advised them to avail the benefits of different Departmental Schemes, especially newly launched Modified High Density Plantation Scheme.
Later he had an interaction with the field staff of the district and directed them to give vide publicity to different Departmental Schemes.
He further instructed the officers to make frequent visit to the field and provide the growers with latest technical knowhow.
