Sopore, 27 Feb : Director IGNOU Dr Noorul Hassan on Thursday inaugurated the first ever Career counselling Centre in North Kashmir’s Sopore town.
First of its kind Career Counselling Centre where library will be available for the students belonging to minority communities in order to provide guidance and counseling to regarding education avenues and employment opportunities. Besides students will get all study material related IGNOU ,Universities, Colleges ,Schools with 30% discount.
The library will be also available for renowned Academicians and Administrators on every Sunday and Friday from Morning 10.00 A.M to 4.00 P.M.
Speaking on the occasion,Director IGNOU Dr Noorul Hassan said this centre is the need of the hour and it would be very much useful to the minority students and urged students to get benefit and obtain information conveniently. He further said that such career counseling centre would certainly provide them the requisite support to choose their career in a better manner. Director also congrats Nazrul Islam owner of the centre for this noble step.
Those who attended the inauguration ceremony including Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Dar Principal Govt Degree College Sopore,Dr Shamim Ahmad Dar Coordinator IGNOU , Dr Sajad Chairman MTM College of Education Tangmerg and Professors from various Colleges and Higher Secondaries were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile on the closing ceremony owner of Career Counselling Centre Nazrul Isalm thanked all the guests and urged students must avail the benefits through this Counselling Centre to carve a niche for themselves in life.
