Bandipora, Sep 21:- The district election authority in Bandipora on Saturday acted on the MCC violation by removing banners, flags and stickers of various political parties installed at different places restricted to use for it.
Reports reaching said that several political parties had installed their banners on government properties at different places in Bandipora after which the MCMC took strong note of that and removed the banners from the government properties.
Riyaz Ahmad, the head of election FST team while speaking with the media urged all political parties to refrain from placing such items near government offices, buildings, or parks, as it constitutes a violation of the MCC.
“I appeal to all parties, both on behalf of the district administration and personally, to avoid displaying flags, stickers, or banners in restricted areas. This is a clear breach of the MCC,” he said.
He further emphasized the responsibility of senior party workers to educate junior members, who may not be aware of the rules.
“The permissions granted for such displays should be carefully read. They clearly state that no political party’s flags, stickers, or banners should be placed on government buildings or properties,” he added.
