SRINAGAR, March 20: Raja Mohammad Tasleem, District & Sessions Judge, currently posted as Special Judge UAPA Sopore, passed away on Tuesday evening at Medanta Hospital in Delhi after a brief illness.
A resident of Kathidarwaza Rainawari, Srinagar, Tasleem (58) had previously served as the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Srinagar before being appointed as the Special Judge for cases under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), reported news agency KDC.
His sudden demise has left the legal fraternity in shock, with colleagues and associates remembering him for his commitment to justice and fair judicial proceedings. Tributes have been pouring in from various quarters, acknowledging his contributions to the judiciary.

Meanwhile, Syed Basharat Bukhari Editor-in-Chief Kashmir Despatch has extended condolences on the demise of Mr Tasleem terming him an upright judicial officer who shall be remembered for his speedy and just decisions as a judge.
Bukhari expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and endurance for his family, friends and colleagues to bear this irreparable loss.
