SRINAGAR, April 19: A high-level delegation of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is scheduled to embark on a crucial six-day visit to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir from April 26 to May 1, 2025.
In preparation for the visit, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed 25 Liaison Officers to ensure smooth coordination and effective facilitation of the committee’s engagements across both the Jammu and Kashmir divisions. The appointments were made through an official government order issued on Saturday.
According to official sources, the committee will assess key administrative, developmental, and security-related issues during its multi-day tour of the region. The selected officers—drawn from a wide range of departments—will act as points of contact, assist in logistical arrangements, and provide departmental insights as required by the committee during their meetings, field visits, and interactions.
The appointed Liaison Officers for the Jammu Division include:

For the Kashmir Division, the following officers have been assigned responsibilities:

As per the order, all designated Liaison Officers have been instructed to report to the respective Divisional Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir on April 23, 2025, for a detailed briefing about their roles and responsibilities during the committee’s visit.
The visit is expected to cover multiple districts and departments, and the presence of the Parliamentary Committee is seen as significant in terms of assessing the ground realities and reviewing the implementation of central schemes and policies in the region.
