Volleyball Association District shopian organised a Three days Tournament sponsored by J&k sports council at Cambridge Educational institute Nagbal.
The tournament was organised today by Esteemed Tehsildar Chitragam Mr Najiullah Shah Sahab and Ground manager J&k sports stadium shopian Mr Khanday sahab.
In The opening Matches played between Nagbal vs Narwani won by Nagbal by straight 2. While in Second match played between Trenz vs CNEI won by CNEI by straight 2. In Girls Iqra club defeated Arbeena club by straight 2.
While appreciated organizers for holding the event in a befitting manner by providing ample opportunity to the budding sportspersons for showcasing their talent and skill, the Tehsildar Najiullah Shah said that This step by the school will help inaugurate a tradition where all sections of the society can be represented and allowed to display their potential before the world. He Further said that the true purpose of education is to enable a balanced growth of a human being.
Secretary volleyball Association District shopian Mr Malik Shabir said that the chief aim of the tournament is to aware the youth of the remote areas of district Shopian and to aware about the ill-effects of drug abuse and to create awareness about the beneficiaries of games and sports.
He Further added that Sports can provide a way to break down barriers and promote inclusion of people who are often left on the sidelines. He said that this is a beginning and many more events will come up in collaboration with the school in the near future.
