Div Com Kashmir reviews winter stocking of essentials in Ladakh, Kashmir

SRINAGAR, NOVERMBER 04: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today chaired a meeting of officers to review the position of winter stocking of food grains and other essential commodities in Ladakh and Kashmir division.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Director Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs; Director Animal Husbandry, officials from Sheep Husbandry, Agriculture, Horticulture, Cooperatives, Health, State Forest Cooperation, JK Cements and other concerned departments.

Besides, Deputy Commissioner Leh and officials of District Administration, Kargil attended the meeting through video conferencing.

Directing the officials to ensure adequate proper stocking of commodities, Div Com said that people in these areas should not face any difficulty during the winter months.

He further directed the officers not to keep their work limited to the stocking but to measures for timely deliverance of these commodities.

The meeting was informed that all the essential commodities for winter including food grains, fire wood, LPG, Medicine and other items stands stocked in these areas.

While taking the district wise review of stock position of the food grains in FCI Godowns, Div Com was informed that the winter stocking has been completed while in Shopain and Kulgam district the stocking will be completed soon.

On the occasion, Div Com asked the Kupwara District Administration to keep their men and machinery ready for inclement weather. He asked them to set up multiple control rooms with the main control room at DC office.

Div Com also directed the Deputy Commissioners to conduct the public outreach programs so that the public grievances are addressed on regular basis.
