District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal in collaboration with R.P School Nagbal, today observed “World Water Day” at R.P School Nagbal.
Students of R.P School Nagbal participated with great enthusiasm and exuberance. The programme started with the recitation of the holy Quran and was followed by the significance of the holy water- Zam Zam. The students gave paramount information about the conservation of water and scarcity of drinking water in times to come. They also laid emphasis on the deterioration of the lakes and water bodies of Kashmir and the preventive measures to safeguard them. Students of R.P School also performed skits regarding save water and preventing water from pollution.
While speaking on the occasion, Adv. Umar Rashid Wani appreciated the students for their commendable performance. He impressed on valuing water which is important as a basic necessity of life. He impressed upon more awareness among the masses for water harvesting which can help us to save water for our future generations.
On the occasion, all the participants pledged to take steps for preservation of water starting with day to day activities like to keep the tap closed while brushing their teeth which can save 92 percent of the water.
