Doda Police announces Rs 15 lakh bounty on two most wanted militants

DODA: Doda Police on Tuesday announced a bounty of Rs 15 lakh on the heads of two most wanted militants in the district.


Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said that Police in Doda has put out notices asking general public to provide information to security forces regarding the militants to catch them live or dead.


Police has pasted two posters outside SBI main branch and ICICI branch in Doda town which have become the talk of the town reports said.


The two militants Haroon Abbas Wani, an MBA-turned militant from Ghat village of district Doda, who had joined the militant ranks in September 2018, and Masood Ahmad from Manjmi area of Dessa, Doda, who had joined militant ranks in June this year.


As per sources, for the first time that police has announced a bounty on head of these militants. Haroon is believed to recruit more youth into militant ranks and this move by security forces is in the direction to stop these militants.
