The covid-19 pandemic saw lakhs of job losses, unemployment in world over as well in Kashmir but the lavish life has no full stop. Parents in Kashmir despite hardships do spend lakhs of rupees on wedding ceremonies of their children, buying a new car but when it comes to helping your son or daughter in establishing a business, majority of parents give lame excuses.
It is true that running a business can be a challenge at any age, so it is all the more surprising when your child wants to become an entrepreneur. But before you dismiss those dreams of entrepreneurial success of your child, just think about the many advantages the endeavor could bring.
It can increase self-esteem, stabilize their life, make them self sufficient and moreover from an employee seeker your child can turn into an employment generator.
As a parent, we all want the best for our child, and that includes encouraging all their dreams, including the dream of becoming a business owner but when we have to choose between establishing a business and the wedding ceremony of our child.
We give priority to dishes served in ceremony, amount of gold, the number of guests and other unnecessary things but when our son or daughter asks for assistance to establish a business set up, we as parents become cruel.
Somewhere we as parents lack confidence in our children but we must think what happens to that huge amount of money we spend on wedding ceremonies and other functions.
By assisting our children in establishing any set up, we are doing a great service to the society at large.
Let us not kill the dreams of our children but help them establishing any set up where they would love to work.
