Don’t upload photographs of Covid-19 dead patient: J&K police

It is ethically, morally wrong, we will take action, say officials


Srinagar, March 26: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday warned those uploading the photographs of the person who died after being tested positive for Covid-19 in a Srinagar hospital.

“It is ethically and morally wrong to upload the photograph of person who died of Covid-19 on social media platforms.

We will take action against them as per law,” In- Charge Kashmir Cyber Police, Tahir Ashraf Told news agency over phone.

Kashmir on Thursday, registered first Covid-19 death in a hospital that of a person who was part of Tableegi Jamaat and had a great travel history outside J&K.

As of now, eight persons have tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Kashmir Valley while the tally of such patients in the entire J&K has gone up to 11. Three cases were reported from Jammu earlier this month reported KINS.
