DRUG PEDDLER ARRESTED IN AWANTIPORA; CHARAS RECOVERED

Awantipora 24 September: Continuing its drive against the Drug peddlers , Awantipora Police arrested one drug peddler from Awantipora area.

During naka Checking at Chersoo Crossing, Police party of Police Station Awantipora under the supervision of SHO PS Awantipora Inspector Ajaz Hmad arrested 01 drug peddler identified as Sohaib Ahmad Bhat S/o Ashiq Hussain Bhat R/o Chersoo.

The arrested person was moving in a suspicious circumstances and during search 36 gms of Charas like substance was recovered from the possession of the persons.

Case FIR Number 199/2025 under relevant section of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Awantipora.
