Drug peddler held in Baramula, 36 bottles of corex recovered

Police in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday arrested one drug peddler and recovered 36 bottles of corex from his procession.


Police in a statement said on routine patrolling at Chakloo Baramulla, Police under the supervision of Sh. Peerzada Aijaz Ahmad, Offg. DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by DySP Prob Naveed Ahmad Qazi, SHO PS Baramulla noticed a person wandering who was also carrying a handbag who upon seeing the police party tried to flee from the spot however alert party apprehended him tactfully.

During his personal search and of the handbag 36 bottles of Corex was recovered from his possession who was identified as Umar Yousuf Lone S/O Mohd Yousuf Lone R/O Nadihal Rafiabad, District Baramulla and was taken into custody immediately.

Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigation set in motion.


General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.
