GANDERBAL : Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society and taking stringent action against the drug peddlers, Ganderbal Police has launched massive hunt against Narcotic peddling in the District.
Police Party of P/S Kheerbawani led by SHO Kheerbawani laid Naka at Shallabugh. During checking, one person namely Umar Rashid Laway S/o Ab Rashid Laway R/o Shallabugh Ganderbal was apprehended and from his possession one bag containing 03 kg 700 gms approximately Bung Patri (Crushed Cannabis) like substance.
Upon this Case FIR No. 06/2022 , U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Kheerbawani and further investigation into matter has been taken up.
Ganderbal Police appeals general public to cooperate with Police by way of sharing inputs related to Drug peddling so that culprits could be curbed effectively.
