DSEK orders to verify genuineness of 2009 batch, other appointees

Srinagar, Jan 30 : In the backdrop of fake posting and appointment orders, the School Education Department has asked the Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of Kashmir region to verify the genuineness of 2009 batch and other appointees of which orders have been issued by the government.

According to the official communiqué issued by the Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the CEOs have been asked to furnish the details in ten days.

“CEOs are advised to get the genuineness of all 2009 and other appointees verified by reference to original orders issued by DSEK and selection list of JKSSB and intimate to the undersigned within 10 days confidentially,” DSEK said.

The officer said this in a reference to the fake appointment made by a fraudster who had managed to get an entry in the department for more than 13 years by producing fake posting and appointment orders.

In previous week, DSEK has said, “Chief Education Officer Srinagar in a letter on November-22-2022 has reported that the service book of a ‘imposter’ working as teacher in government school reveal an entry to the effect that he has been appointed as teacher in 2009 under RBA category, after being selected by the JK Service Selection Board.”

“In order to ascertain the genuineness of his appointment order, the original order issued by DSEK on December-12-2009 appointment Service Selection Board were verified and it has been and found that his name does not figure anywhere in the original appointment order nor original select list of JKSSB,” the director said—(KNO)
