Edu Deptt accords warm send off to Hajjin headmaster

Hajin: To accord a warm send-off to the officer who retired from active service, the Department of Education Zone Sumbal organised a farewell function on Saturday.


After rendering 38 years of dedicated service in the department, Headmaster Govt High School Sumbal, Mohammad Ashraf Malla, was accorded a warm send-off by the officers.


The farewell was attended by Principal Govt Higher Secondary School Sumbal Nighat Mubeen, Chief Spokesperson JKTF Haji Syed Sajad Hussain, President JKTF Bandipora, EJAC Mir Bashir Ahmad, Former Lecturer Enaytullah Parray, Senior Lecturer Shakir Shafi, Teacher Farooq Sumbli, Zonal President Mohammad Hussain, Former Headmaster Ghulam Mohammad Teeli, Staff members of Girls High School Sumbal, besides officials from the Education Department.


On the occasion, various speakers highlighted the contribution of Mohammad Ashraf Malla to the department and congratulated him on attaining superannuation.


They also wished him a happy and prosperous post-retirement life.


Mohammad Ashraf Malla thanked all his colleagues for their support and cooperation during his tenure in the department.


On the occasion, President JKTF and EJAC Bandipora Mir Bashir Ahmad said that Mohammad Ashraf was a popular name among the teaching and non-teaching officials of the district.

His dedication to his services, the mechanism of academic monitoring in the institution, making every official accountable at all levels, and treating the students of the institution exactly like his own children are virtues seldom found in any person.


Haji Syed Sajad Hussian, in his address, said that Mohammad Ashraf had the possession of all these God-gifted qualities. He never compromised on his duties and had the excellent skill of running the institution with the utmost smoothness.


He wishes him a healthy and prosperous post-retirement life.


All the students of the institution, school staff, and invitees of the function, amid tearful eyes, bid an adieu to their loving officer.

Staff members of the institution, members of civil society, and the officers of the department who were invited to the function in one voice highlighted the qualities of Mohammad Ashraf as an administrator and as a noble teacher who always preferred his duties over all other things.


To express their love for Mohammad Ashraf, every staff member, student, and officer presented gifts of varied kinds.


All employees extended their good wishes to Mohammad Ashraf on his new endeavours and wished him a healthy and prosperous post-retirement life.


It’s pertinent to mention here that Mohammad Ashraf Malla joined the education department in 1985 and served 38 years and two months in the department.


He has received a number of best teacher awards at the zonal and district levels for his exemplary service in the education department.
