Elderly man drowns in Veshaw River in Kulgam

Kulgam, April 02: A 45-year-old man drowned in river Veshaw in Reshnagri area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, police said Tuesday.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said that the incident took place last evening when the four men were crossing the river, the official added.

The deceased has been identified as Baja Din Chauhan son of Mohammad Din Chauhan, a resident of Tangram village.

A police official while confirming the incident said that case has been registered in this regard and the investigation has been initiated.
