PULWAMA, Mar 22: The Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes Development Corporation Ltd., in collaboration with the National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation, New Delhi, organized a comprehensive awareness camp at Patalbagh, Pulwama, aimed at promoting self-employment schemes for marginalized communities.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from individuals belonging to backward classes, with the primary objective of educating them about various low-interest loan schemes that can help establish income-generating units.
Addressing the gathering, Mehmood-ul-Haq Gundroo, Deputy General Manager (Kashmir), underscored the Corporation’s unwavering commitment to empowering marginalized communities through self-employment initiatives. He highlighted various low-interest loan schemes available for individuals belonging to backward class categories and urged participants to take full advantage of these schemes. Gundroo emphasized the importance of spreading awareness at the grassroots level to ensure maximum outreach and impact.
Detailed Presentation on Self-Employment and Education Loans
Mohd Maqbool Ganie, District Manager, Pulwama, delivered an in-depth presentation on the Corporation’s self-employment schemes, focusing on establishing income-generating units and availing education loan schemes to support the youth. He outlined the procedures, eligibility criteria, and potential benefits of these initiatives, encouraging participants to explore these opportunities to improve their livelihoods.
Prominent figures present at the event included Nisar Ahmed Mir (Sarpanch), Nusrat Bashir (Community Mobiliser, Rural Department), and Irshad Ahmed Dar (Member, Kissan Advisory Board).
