Ensure Operational Continuity of PRESS; GOI to Administration

Srinagar Mar 24: The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India had issued a notification to all Cheif Secretaries of states and Union Territories to ensure the Operational continuity of Print, and Electronic media because of COVID-19 Scare.

The Director of Information and Broadcasting Gopal Sadahvi in an Official letter (a copy in possession with Kashmir Despatch) directed the all administrations to facilitate operational convenience to media houses in view of the present fragile situation. Besides, it has also been directed to have a smooth press activity on the ground as well as the distribution of newspapers and magazines in the chain.

However, the Government has already taken such robust steps in the present juncture to aware the general public about present Uncertainty, by taking media institutions on board across the country, to ensure essential information dissemination, to provide awareness among the people and keep the nation updated.

Meanwhile, the state administrations across the country had initially issued strict orders for restrictions on the moment of people.
